The Wilson Surge BLX offers excellent maneuverability and plenty of access to spin. This latest generation of the Surge series features Wilson's BLX Technology. Basalt fibers are woven longitudinally with [K]arophite Black into the makeup of the graphite. Wilson claims the Basalt fibers help reduce vibration and provide a cleaner response. Our playtesters were able to generate great racquet head speed on their groundstrokes, imparting exceptional amounts of spin from all areas of the court. Up at net, both touch and punch volleys felt solid and crisp. At just over 10 ounces, the Surge BLX is an ideal choice for players wanting to customize their racquet as they advance their playing level.
